Zichai Power Co., Ltd., founded in 1970, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China National Agricultural Development Group Co., Ltd. It is a professional manufacturer of high-power medium-speed diesel engines, a Shandong Provincial High-Tech Enterprise and an Advanced Group of Central Enterprises.
The company undertakes the national 863 Program (National High-Tech R&D Program) and Torch Program projects concerning counter-current oxidation treatment for mine ventilation, air leakage and heat accumulation. It also serves as the supporting entity for the Key Laboratory of New Energy Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, and owns a provincial-level enterprise technology center.
Zichai’s core business covers the manufacturing and sales of Z170, 210, L250, 300, N330, 16V170 and 9340 series diesel engines, gas engines, dual-fuel engines and generator sets. The power range of these products is 150 ~ 4410 kW, applicable for marine and land use. The company also engages in new energy R&D, promotion and application, overall technical design and construction of power stations, as well as the production and sales of ventilation, air leakage and heat accumulation counter-current oxidation devices.
All products have passed ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification. Many products have been recognized as National New Products and Industry Brand Products, and have won the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The ventilation, air leakage and heat accumulation counter-current oxidation device is a project under the National 863 Program and Torch Program initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The “Zichai” trademark is a Famous Trademark of Shandong Province.
Zichai diesel engines are widely applied to deep-sea fishing vessels, inshore fishing boats, ocean shipping, inland waterway transport, passenger and cargo ships, harbor tugs, engineering vessels, law enforcement ships and naval auxiliary ships. They also serve as marine generator sets, land-based generator sets and stationary power units.
Newly developed products including gas engines, gas engine generator sets and counter-current oxidation devices have been applied in new energy and rural development fields, such as biogas power generation using crop straw. They are also used in energy-saving and eco-friendly sectors focused on the utilization of combustible waste gas, including coal mine gas recovery and power generation.
